Hi, My name is Dimitri De Fraeye, I'm 26 years old and I live in Belgium. I'm a very big e30 fan and after 5 years I've bought for the second time an e30. (You can see my first car also on www.e30.de) My daily car is a BMW e36 318iS Coupé so this e30 is more like a hobbycar for sunday's and meetings. A while ago I had the opportunity to buy a black e30 316i coupé (AC Schnitzer) from '89 with 155000km in Germany. The car was in a great condition and the price was good so after lots of paperwork (for the import), I could start some modifications. First of all my best friend (Cédric Cools), who is now my brother in law, polished the car completely so that black would be black again and scratches would disappear. The AC Schnitzerstripes weren't good anymore so they are removed. I didn't change them by new ones because I wanted my baby to be completely black. The original spoiler (behind) was damaged so I replaced him by a new one and in the front there is now an iS-spoiler. The original AC Schnitzer rims are replaced by BBS RS 001 (4 X 9,5) r15 and the tyres are 225/50r15. The car was already lower so I didn't have to spent money on a new suspensionsystem. I do have to say that the rims are rather large so I had to scroll out my wheelcases a little bit. Even now, I can not transport more than one passenger. At the inside of the car I have put black/grey seatcovers. The seats were in a good shape but I think it's more modern and sportif now. That's about it. Hope you enjoy my fotostorie which shows you the evolution of my car. Kind regards, Dimitri De Fraeye de.fraeye.dimitri@telenet.be |
