Hi my name is Mike I have had my 323i since 1987. Before I bought it from the dealer in Inverness, it had belonged to BMW GB and they had loaned it to Motor magazine for a year. Since 1990 all it has done is go to shows both in the UK and in Europe. It went to a Dutch event in 1991 and to the Treffen in 1993 in Schleiz. It now does about 500 miles (800km) a year. It is one of the first right hand drive vehicles with chassis number 179. It does not have the side vents in the boot , behind the rear bumpers. All the bodywork is original; the side repeaters were fitted when it was returned to BMW in 1984. In September 2002 it appeared in Total BMW magazine celebrating 21 years of E30 and it was at Gaydon in 2008 celebrating 25 years of E30 in the UK. I have a full log of all work that has been carried out on the car over its history. It still goes to the BMW every year for a service. It is on its original registration number and therefore I do not mind displaying it on the internet. Apart from a Mota Lita steering wheel and air horns, the car is original.
